New SIN List Database Will Assist In Identification of Chemicals of Concern |

New user interface will help legislators, journalists, consumers, investors and manufacturers retrieve information regarding the 356 high-concern chemicals on the SIN List. Since its launch in 2008, the SIN List has developed into a widely-used tool for identifying chemicals of high concern and an important point of reference for a range of regulatory, non-governmental and industry stakeholders.

SIN List update: version 1.1 contains 356 substances |

The SIN List has been updated with 89 new substances and substance groups. This update is due to an extension of the list of substances classified within the European Union as CMRs – Carcinogenic, Mutagenic, and toxic to Reproduction. Two of the newly classified CMRs, PFOS and Dibutyltin Dichloride, were already on the SIN List 1.0 as Equivalent Concern substances.
SIN List 1.1 now contains 356 substances - 311 substances that are Carcinogenic, Mutagenic and toxic to Reproduction (CMRs), 17 substances that are Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic (PBTs) and 28 substances of Equivalent level of Concern.
