The European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC) is clearly concerned about the SIN List. In a press release, entitled "Chemical Industry dismissive of latest REACH scare story", the organisation claims that "Chemical Industry sales would be severely hit by the banning of substances due to the publication of the ChemSec list."

They also say that the SIN List is a "wish list" that "will only contribute to confusion throughout the value chain and markets." Perhaps they should see it as a guide to meeting future client demands.
