Bisphenol A banned in food packaging in France from 2015

France has adopted a law banning endocrine disrupting chemical bisphenol A (BPA) in all food contact materials from January 2015.

From 2013 BPA will also be banned from food containers for children under the age of three. Denmark has already introduced a similar ban, however on a EU level BPA is only banned in baby bottles.
