Update of the SIN List, and more

Today several updates of ChemSec’s chemicals management tools go live. The SIN List, the SIN Producers and the Textile Guide have all got new features added in order to increase user friendliness.

The Textile Guide has gotten a number of new filtering options, making it easier to identify unwanted chemicals in your supply chain, build of chemicals and share them with your colleagues and suppliers. Several industry RSLs and mRSLs have also been updated to their latest versions.

The SIN List and SIN Producers have gotten new background data and 18 new SVHC substances have been added, making the new total number of substances 862 on the SIN List.

What are ChemSec’s chemicals management tools?

SIN List
The SIN (Substitute It Now!) List is a globally used database of chemicals likely to be banned or restricted in a near future, as we have selected them for fulfilling EU’s REACH “Substance of Very High Concern” criteria.

SIN Producers
SIN Producers is a database of companies that are producing or importing the most hazardous chemicals in Europe. This information can be used for making sustainable investments, identifying companies with a product portfolio likely to be regulated.

Textile Guide
The Textile Guide walks you through the process of chemicals management from a textile industry perspective. You will learn to identify the relevant problematic chemicals and find ideas on how to phase them out.
