Webinar: F-gases are responsible for more than half of all PFAS emissions

Next up in our webinar series on safer alternatives to PFAS is the issue of F-gases!

Fluorinated gases — used in air conditioners, heat pumps, cars and so on — constitute over two-thirds of the global refrigerants market. But these F-gases are a major source of PFAS pollution, responsible for more than half of all PFAS emissions.

To be able to deal with the ongoing PFAS crisis, the use of F-gases needs to be reduced dramatically. Luckily, they can often be replaced with safer alternatives. Natural refrigerants are well-tested and have been around for a long time. They’re also, in many cases, both cheaper and more effective.

In this webinar, you can expect to learn:

  • About the current availability of PFAS-free solutions for F-gas applications
  • How safer alternatives are scalable and, in many cases, already employed
  • Key lessons from sectors where the PFAS phase-out has been completed

Speakers:

  • Marc Chasserot, CEO of ATMOsphere
  • Fredrik Strengbohm, Technical Manager at Caverion
  • Nathalie Cruchet, Head of ESG and Sustainability at Submer
  • Sidsel Dyekjaer, Senior Policy Advisor at ChemSec
