For the first time, the platform also includes a dedicated category for fluorinated gases (F-gases) commonly used as refrigerants. These gases break down into the PFAS trifluoroacetic acid (TFA). While often overlooked as a source of PFAS pollution, F-gases account for 63% of all PFAS emissions in Europe.
